Celebrate, Remember, Fightback

Relay For Life is a volunteer led, fantastic community event. Fundraising teams consisting of families, friends and work colleagues from all backgrounds come together from Colchester and the surroundings to raise funds to help fund Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work. The culmination of the Teams’ hard work over the year comes when we have our annual Relay For Life Fun Day

Whilst our visitors take in the entertainment and visit the fundraising stalls, our Team Members take turns completing laps of a track during 24 hours of celebrating the lives of those surviving cancer, remembering loved ones who are no longer with us and fighting back against this dreadful disease.

Relay is many things to many people. We invite Cancer Survivors to inspire and support others going through treatment. We recruit teams of people whose lives have been touched by Cancer and who want to fight back – together we fund-raise, support each other, and have an amazing experience.

Another year of fundraising has come to an end and in 2025 we achieved the 2nd highest total raised, a magnificent, £38,587, bringing the total raised since 2013 to, £359,825
